Tax & Accounting Documentation FAQ for Storetasker Experts
This information is provided for general guidance only. Storetasker does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. For specific advice, consult a qualified professional.
Tax and invoicing requirements vary widely by country, so we always recommend confirming specifics with your own accountant or tax advisor. Below is what Storetasker can confirm on our end for experts anywhere in the world.
Where do I find a record of my earnings and payouts?
Go to Profile → Payments. Any line marked "Cashed out" (in red) is your taxable line item — this is the figure to give your accountant as your record of income from Storetasker.
Does Storetasker separate gross earnings from the service fee?
No. We don't provide a breakdown of gross earnings and the Storetasker Service Fee as two separate figures. The Cashed out amount shown in your Payments tab already reflects your net payout, and is the number we'd point your accountant to.
Can Storetasker issue an invoice or receipt for the commission/service fee?
No. Storetasker does not issue individual invoices or receipts for the commission or service fee charged on your earnings, in any country.
If your local tax authority requires a written record of this for your file, you're welcome to use this article, or a direct reply from us, as documentation of that.
Do I need to submit an invoice to Storetasker to get paid?
No. Payouts are automatic — you don't need to submit anything to us. The Cashed out record in your Payments tab serves as your invoice/receipt equivalent.
Where can I find Storetasker's legal name, address, and tax ID?
If your accountant needs these details (for example, to prepare your own documentation for local tax purposes), just reach out to support and we can provide our W-9.
Can I get a payout statement with my clients' billing details?
No, we don't provide payout statements broken out by client billing details.
Still have questions specific to your situation? Reach out to support — we're happy to confirm any of the above in writing for your records. For guidance on how this applies to your local tax filing, please consult your accountant or tax advisor.
