Lead Selection
The Lead Selection process helps Storetasker Experts evaluate prospective clients (leads) and make informed decisions about which projects to pursue.
Are all leads pre-screened?
-
No. While Storetasker maintains a network of pre-qualified clients, any individual or company may submit a brief through the platform.
-
Leads may also come via partner referrals, so there is a wide range of client scale, experience, and project complexity.
How should Experts approach lead selection?
-
Experts are encouraged to be selective and strategic when choosing which leads to pursue.
-
The system provides context to support this decision, including:
-
Brand information
-
Brief history
-
Prior communications
-
-
New members start with a limited number of introductions (typically three per week) to encourage thoughtful selection.
Why does selectivity matter?
-
Closing leads builds trust within the network and strengthens your reputation.
-
Unclosed or mismatched leads can negatively impact future opportunities for you and others in the network.
-
Careful lead assessment ensures better outcomes for you, the client, and the overall Storetasker community.
How does the system reward successful lead management?
-
Closing a lead unlocks an additional intro for that week.
-
Meeting account metrics over time can increase your weekly intro limit (up to 10).
-
Thoughtful matches help maintain the credibility and efficiency of the network.
Are suggested leads guaranteed to be a good fit?
-
No. Suggested leads are just recommendations. The system cannot fully assess your preferences, expertise, or availability.
-
Always review each brief carefully before reaching out.
Best Practices for Lead Selection
-
Review all available brand information before claiming a lead.
-
Prioritize leads where you can confidently provide value.
-
Be strategic about your introductions to maximize closing potential.
-
Understand that a mismatch may lead to an unresponsive client, which affects network credibility.
