Depending on preference, you can tailor your matching message to suggest jumping on a call first, or you can ask for more information first. Please note that typically, jumping on a call earlier leads to more closed leads and fewer support tickets.

We'll use this request as the basis for our examples:

Request Details:

Hi There, I have been working on the trial version ahead of purchasing and migrating my store to the Archetype Impulse theme and I'm really happy with the result https://charliesbathbombs.shopifypreview.com However there are a number of changes I would need to make the theme work for my needs, and I would like confirmation they can be done before purchasing the theme. I have attached screen shots and explanation of the issues. Please let me know if they are all possible and a quote to do them?

Example 1: Call Upfront

Note: Here you may need only minor updates to the template to make sure your message is tailored to the lead and is not generic.

Hi Charlie!

I’m Leigh, a developer in the Storetasker network. Firstly, thank you for submitting your request to Storetasker. I’ve helped many stores with these kinds of theme updates and would love to work with you!

As a next step, I’d like to discuss your project with you in more detail. Please check out my calendar and find a time that works for you: meet.storetasker.com/leigh-schindlbeck. Or if you prefer, let me know some good times to call you! When we chat, I’ll ask some more questions so I can better understand your project. I’m also happy to answer any questions you may have for me!

After our call, I’ll request partner access to your store. This will help me properly scope your project and send you a quote.

Example 2: Asking For More Detail First

Note: Here you will need a more tailored and detailed message that focuses on your lead's specific needs and building trust.

Hi Charlie!

I’m Leigh, a developer in the Storetasker network. Firstly, thank you for submitting your request to Storetasker. I’ve helped many stores with these kinds of theme updates and would love to work with you!

As a next step, I’ll request partner access to your store. This will help me properly scope your project so that I am able to provide you with the most accurate quote possible!

I’ve received your screenshots of your changes and want to summarize the changes you are looking for here:

      • 3 separate sub-collection list pages
      • Reposition the product description
      • Hide the variant images except for the selected one
      • Duplicate layout that you have in the Boundless theme
      • Show filter groups depending on collection
      • Ensure icons are resizing for mobile
      • Justify variant selectors to the left on mobile
      • On the variants, if an option is unavailable, have it select to the next available one instead

Do you have any other items to add to this list?
